Various -istans are coming up

To compensate for the silence after Kosovo (which, predictably, is looking uglier and uglier now that I am no longer there - this, I believe, is called the Sod's law of freelance journalism), there are a couple of interesting trips coming up. I'll be going to Afghanistan for a week or two in late April and to Uzbekistan in the second half of May. And, fingers crossed, there might also be a trip to Chad to see the EU's peacekeepers get stuck in a nice desert war between Sudan, Chad, and the Central African Republic (plus their various rebels). Watch this space for more stuff on these matters.
