Vary your routes

That poor woman who was shot in Kabul yesterday, that NGO worker. This is bad, it's all going the way of Baghdad, isn't it. People didn't really use to get murdered in Kabul in broad daylight before, not in the city, only in the provinces (unless you count that brazen attack on that five-star hotel in the beginning of the year). It was supposed to be relatively safe, notwithstanding the constant warnings that you should vary your routes every day. But then she varied her goddam routes every day, didn't she. And she was helping disabled kids, for heaven's sake.
